October 13, 2018 According to official documents, Chiune Sugihara was born on January 1, 1900, in what is now Mino City, Gifu Prefecture. The unveiling ceremony and commemorative lecture of the monument were held at Kyosenji Temple in The City of Mino where Chiune Sugihara was born. Honorary advisor Nobuki Sugihara of our foundation and Takaharu Furue who founded of the "Institute for Humanitarian Port Research" attended to the ceremony.
