Today, there was a regular meeting of Rotary Club in Shinjuku, Tokyo, and Mr. Osamu Oshinden, the chairman of the Board of Trustees of our Foundation, gave a lecture entitled "Intelligence Officer Chiune Sugihara".
Chiune Sugihara is famous for issuing Japan transit visas to many Jewish refugees, but it is not well known that he was an intelligence officer who was exploring trends in both Germany and the Soviet Union. This time, he made full use of primary materials and specifically covered the intelligence activities of Chiune Sugihara in Kaunas, Lithuania and Königsberg, East Prussia. He also mentioned that intelligence activities using satellites, drones, and the Internet are extremely important in the ongoing Ukrainian war.
